Eyeglasses prescribed by an ophthalmologist or an optician are reimbursed up to a maximum of EUR 340 every three years counting from the date of purchase.
Eyeglass compensation is paid for the first time after one year of membership.
Eyeglass expenses are deemed to arise when the expenses have been fully paid and the eyeglasses have been delivered; not on the day when the eyeglasses were ordered or the order confirmation payment was made.
You do not need to fill in a separate claim; all you have to do is send the receipt for the eyeglass purchase indicating your name, the sum and the itemisation of the purchase to the sickness fund. If the payment receipt does not contain the aforementioned information, request another document, such as the order confirmation which usually contains such information.
