Dental care

Dental care costs are compensated up to the maximum amount of EUR 300 per calendar year. 

Dental care compensation is paid for the first time after one year of membership.

To receive compensation, send the forms mentioned below to the sickness fund:

• ‘Claim – Medical care expenses incurred in Finland’, form SV 127.

• Statement on the treatment provided and fees charged by a dentist, SV 126

• Payment receipt

If Kela´s reimbursement has already been deducted, you do not need to fill in a separate claim form, just send the payment receipt.

Starting from May 1, 2025, two dental hygienist visits per year will be reimbursed by Kela without a dentist's prescription.

Please note that you will still need a dentist's prescription for reimbursement from the sickness insurance fund.
